Kev's book is the bible for information regarding the best of Northern Soul. Quite a few tracks that owe their original popularity on the 1960's Soul Scene are included.

We decided that to put things into perspective we should do a top 500 of the original sounds that vibrated in Manchester soul clubs. Many of course were the popular songs that found their way into the USA and UK charts and many that didn't.
